Joined the insurance industry in 1983 at Maritime & General where she specialized in Personal Accident.
In 1986 the company was bought by Aegis Insurance and she became a Commercial Marketer.
In 1989 she joined IGI and was Branch Manager Executive Branch looking after Domestic and Motor insurance schemes.
In 1994 started a pre loss assessment company for domestic insurance which was sold to an international reinsurer.
She joined Fedsure in 1997 where she went back into Commercial Insurance and then joined The St Paul Insurance Company in 1999 as a Product Manager in the corporate market specializing
in the food and leisure industries. In 2003 when The St Paul left SA, she joined Marsh Inc on the corporate marketing team and then took over the underwriting binders division.
She joined Global Alliance in 2006 and is responsible for managing all aspects of global accounts as well as marketing the group to local and international players

Lourens started his career in the banking environment. He has completed all his banking exams and was appointed as assistant branch accountant with Volkskas, currently known as ABSA.
He moved out of the banking environment to join Irish Mennel and Rosenberg stockbrokers, which later became known as Appleton Securities as an accountant and compliance officer.
He completed his JSE compliance officer exams as well as a three year financial management diploma and his Bsc degree in Accounting and Business management.
Lourens was approached during May 2003 to join Baronscourt (SA) (Pty) Ltd as assistant Financial Manager. At the beginning of 2008 he was appointed as the Group Financial Manager as well as a Director of Baronscourt (SA) (Pty) Ltd.
